Lochard Gorge on Victoria’s southern coast is a place where the colours seem to change with every look: ochre cliffs, turquoise water and green headland. I spent a day sketching here on location with gouache and acrylic paints. I then finished the painting in the studio, a technique I often use when working outdoors.
