Ormiston Gorge, in the West MacDonnell Ranges, is one of the most striking places I visited on my travels north. I spent a day soaking in the colours of the gorge. The red-orange cliffs stood against the stunning blue of the sky, and the still water mirrored them back. I had to paint it.
